Hello all, my name is Kristy and I am from Bigstone Cree Nation, but was born and raised in Fort St. John BC. I currently live in Regina. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Art from First Nations University, where I also took some Cree language classes.

I have been learning both Plains Cree (Y dialect) and Northern Plains Cree (Y dialect) for a number of years because I am from Treaty 8, but now live in Treaty 4 lands.

I love our Indigenous languages and I am grateful for any opportunity to learn and promote the language. I enjoy sharing what I am working on as a language learner, and know there will always be so much more to learn.
