Samson LaMontagne is a Métis / Michif Educator from Regina Saskatchewan. Samson began learning Michif while attending SUNTEP (Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program) at the University of Saskatchewan over 10 years ago. Samson is now the Métis Education Program Lead with the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division. In his free time Samson enjoys creating resources and supporting communities from all over Canada with his Michif Zoom Classes. Samson also provides free Northern, Southern and French Michif content on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and YouTube at michifwithmonoksamson. Samson’s goal is to help with the revitalization of the Michif Language. Samson believes every person that learns Michif not only helps breath life back into the Language but also answers the ‘Calls to Action’ with Truth and Reconciliation!
